LIBERTY COUNSELING MINISTRY

Lay counseling is an extension of pastoral counseling. Committed members of Liberty Baptist Church have completed appropriate training that is biblically focused and clinically informed. We work from the foundational belief that God has provided the answers for life’s challenges in the Bible.

CONSIDERATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

By submitting this form, you agree to the following:

Initial Assessment. You'll meet in person with one of our supervising counselors for a brief, compassionate conversation. We'll prayerfully discern if our program aligns with your needs. If not, we'll gladly connect you with appropriate professional resources, such as licensed therapists or medical providers.

Biblical Focus and Scope. Our ministry offers spiritual guidance rooted in Scripture, not medical treatment, psychological diagnosis, or licensed therapy. This is not a substitute for professional mental health care—please consult a doctor or therapist for any medical concerns.

Confidentiality. We deeply value your privacy and will keep all shared information confidential, except in limited cases required by biblical wisdom or law. This includes: (1) imminent harm to yourself or others (e.g., suicidal thoughts—we'll urge immediate help like 911 or a crisis hotline); (2) suspected child/elder abuse (mandatory reporting per state law); or (3) criminal activity.

By signing below, I acknowledge I've read, understand, and agree to these considerations. I consent to the initial assessment and affirm this request is voluntary.

Next Steps: Submit this form, and expect a response within 3-5 business days to schedule your assessment. Questions? Email us at [counseling@libertybaptistchurch.org].
